Athrú Collect

“Empowering schools to collect, track, and transform their waste into lasting change.”

    1: Collect it.

We begin by partnering with your school to set up a specialized recycling programme tailored to your needs. Students and staff collect waste materials like plastic bottles, paper, and pens using our clearly labeled bins and collection system. This hands-on phase is designed to foster environmental awareness and responsibility within the school community.

  • Computer monitor displaying a school portal dashboard with statistics on total weight collected, materials, and a line graph for weight collected from January to October.

    2: Track it

Once collected, the materials are logged and tracked through our secure Athrú School Portal. Here, schools can view real-time data on the types and amounts of waste collected, monitor environmental impact over time, and download reports. This step empowers students to see the tangible results of their efforts and supports schools in meeting their sustainability goals.

    3: Make it.

Collected materials are currently processed through trusted Irish recycling partners who help us transform school waste into high-quality, sustainable products—like reusable bottles, pencil cases, and educational tools. Each item can be branded with your school’s name, turning waste into something with real value. Our long-term goal is to bring this process fully in-house, allowing us to close the loop entirely and create even greater local impact.
